As a first-generation college graduate, I am deeply passionate about creating pathways for communities to access, and more importantly, succeed in higher education.
This personal commitment now drives my work as Dean of Workforce at the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, the largest public higher education system in the United States. I am dedicated to advancing the systemwide mission of improving student achievement across all 116 colleges, with a focus on eliminating achievement gaps and enhancing economic mobility for all students throughout California.
In my role within the Division of Workforce and Economic Development, I develop strategic partnerships with employers, educational institutions, and community agencies to create a robust workforce ecosystem that supports sustainable economic growth. I provide leadership to key statewide demonstration projects and oversee division strategic operations to ensure effective implementation of workforce development initiatives.
With a student-centered focus, I bring diverse perspectives to the table, including expertise in complex program management, grant administration, oversight of education business services, and the establishment of impactful public-private partnerships. My background spanning academia, private industry, and non-profit organizations has equipped me with the skills to make meaningful contributions to the organizations and students I’ve served for over nineteen years.
